Advancing Renewable Energy Adoption
The Detmold Group continues to progress its renewable energy agenda with the installation of a second rooftop solar system at the Heshan manufacturing site in China.
Building on the successful commissioning of the initial system in 2024, the expanded installation brings total onsite solar capacity to 1,200 kWp, significantly increasing the proportion of renewable electricity generated at the site.
The combined systems support high levels of self‑consumption and reduce reliance on grid electricity, contributing to lower Scope 2 emissions across Heshan operations.
This investment reinforces the Group’s commitment to its climate targets, including the ambition to source 30 percent of electricity from renewable sources by 2033, while supporting efficient, resilient and lower‑carbon manufacturing.
