Raising Awareness for Bowel Cancer with the Jodi Lee Foundation
On Tuesday 27 May, the Detmold Group proudly hosted Morning Tea fundraising events across four of our Adelaide sites in support of the Jodi Lee Foundation and its mission to raise awareness about bowel cancer.
Bowel cancer is the second most common cause of cancer-related death in Australia and the leading cause among Australians aged 25 to 49. Early detection is critical, and awareness can save lives.
We were honoured to welcome Jodi Lee Foundation Ambassador Sophie Edwards, who shared her powerful personal story and inspired our teams to prioritise proactive health checks.
Sascha Detmold Cox, CEO of the Detmold Group, shared:
“It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to host the incredibly brave and inspiring Sophie Edwards, JLF Ambassador, who courageously shared her story with our Detmold team to raise awareness that bowel cancer is the most common form of cancer in Australians aged 25 to 44.
Thank you, Sophie and JLF, for being so generous with your time. Our South Australian team is proud to have raised $1,916.10, which the Detmold Group will round up to a total of $4,000 to support the fabulous work done by Nick Lee and his team at JLF.”
At Detmold, ‘We Genuinely Care’ is more than a value. It is a commitment to the health, safety, and wellbeing of our people and community.
